Roll-off dumpster prices for San Antonio jobs, from haulers who work here

Give us the ZIP, a rough size and a drop-off date. Up to three local roll-off outfits get the request and reach out with their own price. Compare them, pick one or pick none.

Below the form are the San Antonio details that change what you rent: when the street needs a city permit, what the city will haul away for free, and which landfill your load probably ends up in.

Takes about a minute. Free, and you are not signing up for anything.

Four San Antonio details worth knowing first

  1. The street is a permit. The driveway is not.

A container parked in a traffic lane or on a sidewalk counts as a temporary closure, and the city's paperwork for that is the Lane/Sidewalk Closure Permit, filed through Public Works. Filing requires a registered account with insurance and a bond on file. How the street permit works

  2. The city may haul part of it for nothing.

Homes on city trash service get curbside brush and bulky pickup twice a year. A pile can be up to 8 cubic yards and must sit within 8 feet of the curb. A couch and a pile of limbs may not need a rental at all. City pickup or a container?

  3. Remodel and roofing debris are the usual reason to rent.

Construction, demolition and roofing material are on the city's "not accepted" list for curbside bulky pickup, and the four city drop-off centers take only 1 cubic yard of construction debris per visit.

  4. Most loads leave town on the edges.

Covel Gardens on the far southwest side and Tessman Road off IH 10 East both take household and construction waste. Beck Landfill in Schertz takes construction debris and brush, not household trash. Addresses and phone numbers

private companies were on the city's fiscal 2026 list of permitted commercial waste haulers, and 26 of them list construction or demolition waste. That is the city's list, not ours: Solid Waste Management Department hauler list (PDF).

What happens after you press send

  1. Your request is saved and passed to up to three roll-off companies that cover your ZIP.
  2. They contact you, usually by phone or text, with a price and an open delivery day.
  3. You ask each one the same three questions: how many days are included, how many tons are included, and the charge per ton over that.
  4. You book directly with the one you like. Payment goes to them, never through this site.

Questions people in Bexar County ask

Do I need a permit if the container fits on my driveway?

The city's closure permit is about lanes and sidewalks, which are public right-of-way. A container that sits fully on your own driveway is in neither. Homeowner associations write their own rules, so read yours if you have one.

Can old paint and pool chemicals go in the dumpster?

Ask the hauler, since most refuse liquids and chemicals. The city's household hazardous waste drop-off at 7030 Culebra Road takes paint, pool chemicals, auto fluids, batteries and similar items from residents.

What about tires?

City curbside bulky pickup takes up to six car tires with the rims removed, and the city drop-off centers take up to six as well. Many haulers charge extra for tires in a roll-off, so it can pay to keep them out.

Why is there no price list here?

Haulers price by size, rental days and weight, and the landfills' gate rates are not posted where we could check them twice. Rather than print a number that might be wrong, we send your request to companies that will quote the real thing.

I live in Schertz, Converse or New Braunfels. Does this still work?

Yes. Suburbs set their own street rules, and New Braunfels has its own permitted hauler list. Notes on towns outside San Antonio.
